Using a vertical fridge is a great way to make the most of limited floor space in commercial kitchens. An upright fridge provides large chilled storage capacities with a small footprint - some single-door units only require 600mm x 600mm. Capacities can range anywhere from 400 litres to in excess of 1,200 litres for the biggest double-door models. You can also use an upright freezer for frozen storage.

Unlike models found in the home kitchen, a commercial upright fridge is manufactured with premium components to cope with the demands of professional kitchen use. Powerful forced air cooling systems guarantee a fast chill recovery rate even when the unit is being opened frequently. For hotter kitchens, choose a tall fridge with a higher maximum ambient temperature - tropical-rated vertical fridges are designed to excel in conditions of up to 43°C.
